I became the coach I wish I had known existed.
Before Bright Finch, I spent nearly twenty years working in national security, including roles with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. My work required me to notice patterns, ask precise questions, and make sense of complicated situations when the answer was not immediately obvious.
But when my own carefully built life stopped feeling like mine, those skills did not make me immune to uncertainty.
From the outside, everything looked solid. I had a meaningful career, a family I loved, and a life I had worked hard to build. Nothing was technically wrong. I just knew something was no longer right.
At the time, I had very little experience with coaching. I did not know there could be a place to examine what was changing, what I still wanted, and what I was moving toward before making a major leap.
So I made the leap and hoped clarity would catch up.
Eventually, it did. The experience shaped what I now believe about reinvention.
You should not have to blow up your life simply because something in it needs to change.
Sometimes leaving really is the right answer. Sometimes what you need is a thoughtful redesign. The difficult part is creating enough space to tell the difference. That is why I created Bright Finch.
Today, I help women sort through the noise, recognize the patterns beneath their uncertainty, and understand what is actually asking to change. My coaching combines curiosity, compassion, practical thinking, and enough straight talk to keep us from politely circling the same issue forever.
I will not tell you what your next chapter should look like. I will listen closely, ask better questions, and help you hear yourself clearly enough to choose it.
When I am not coaching, I am usually near the ocean, making a cup of tea, working a Bravo reference into an otherwise serious conversation, or identifying a bird with considerably more confidence than accuracy.
Thinking about what might be possible for you?
Whether you're craving clarity, transition, or a little more room to hear yourself think, I would love to hear what you are navigating.
